Lettre ouverte à la LNH

June 22nd, 2006

Lord Stanley of Preston
National Hockey League
1251 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10020

Lord Stanley,

We carefully watched the last game of the 2006 Stanley Cup playoffs Monday night and we believe we might have discovered the reasons why the conclusion of this season has been so disappointing to us all. After serious and careful thinking, we came up with a list of teams that should not exist in the NHL. Here they are:

- Carolina Hurricanes
- Tampa Bay Lightning
- Colombus Blue Jackets
- St. Louis Blues
- Florida Panthers
- New Jersey Devils
- Phoenix Coyotes
- San Jose Sharks
- Los Angeles Kings

We also listed a series of players who should not be allowed anymore to play in the NHL, for various reasons.

- Cam Ward
- Rod Brind'amour
- The cheerleaders
- Gary Bettman
- Justin Williams
- Cory Stillman
- Rod Brind'amour
- Peter Laviolette

By permanently eliminating these teams/players before the beginning of the 2006-2007 pre-season training camps, we believe, Lord Stanley, that your glorious trophy will never be again lifted by some turtle-face looking guy, in one of those desert-hot southern states where people don't know a thing about hockey.

Yours truly,

Three North-American hockey fans (NOT from Edmonton!)

P.S. Please bring back the Cleveland Barons.
